Keep Your Eye on the Prize- Art, Photo, and Essay Contest

Nine students from across Louisiana are winners of the America’s WETLAND Foundation’s Keep Your Eye on the Prize contest, chosen among hundreds of entries during the three-month contest. Each of the nine first place winners will receive a $500 award for his or her school for a wetlands restoration project supervised by the America’s WETLAND Conservation Corps.

Students from grades four through 12 were invited to submit a photograph, artwork or essay about what the wetlands mean to them. The contest was held in conjunction with Youth Wetlands Week in March, when nearly 1,000 teachers taught units on the importance and fragility of the Louisiana coast. Check out the entries and Keep Your Eyes on the Prize Page.
