The Advocate: State pledges $80M for Bayou Chene floodgate that will relieve backwater flooding in 6 parishes

MORGAN CITY, La. (AP) — Residents in six southeastern Louisiana parishes will get some relief from backwater flooding thanks to a new floodgate. Gov.
