Louisiana Coastal Exchange

Coastal ExchangeThe Louisiana Coastal Exchange (LCX), an initiative of the America’s WETLAND Foundation, is an inventory and reporting of private sector coastal restoration projects that have been completed or are planned and available for private investment. In Louisiana, the projects must be consistent with and complementary to the state’s coastal master plan.

The Exchange will show the depth and breadth of restoration efforts beyond those sponsored by government agencies and will be a tangible demonstration of private sector support for restoration. It can serve as a tool for the state, private landowners, foundations, businesses and NGOs to demonstrate the power of partnerships.

LCX Project Criteria Checklist

To be included in the Exchange, projects must meet the following criteria:

  • Located in coastal areas of Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi or Texas.
  • Funded wholly or in part by the private sector or NGOs.
  • Support resiliency of communities, economies and the environment.
  • Consistent with and complementary to Gulf regional plans or state coastal master plans.

If you have a prospective, completed or coastal project in process that you wish to add to LCX, please contact the Foundation for additional information at:  info@americaswetland.com.
